Mrs. Monaco

Mrs. Monaco was raised in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School. She attended Carroll College and then Western Montana College, where she earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Following graduation she moved to California and taught 3rd grade for two years. She then returned to Montana and Georgetown Lake where she had spent her summers growing up. After several years of working as a 911 dispatcher at the Anaconda Police Department she started working as a para at Dwyer and then returned to school as a student herself. She then earned a Special Education Endorsement and Masters Degree from the University of Montana. This is her sixth year teaching at the Anaconda High School.
Her father is a recently retired veterinarian and her mother was able to stay at home and take care of Mrs. Monaco and her three brothers who all live on the West Coast now. She is married to a lifelong Anaconda boy, John Monaco. When they got married they had an instant family including Meagan, who is now married. She and her husband are both in the Air Force and currently stationed at Malstrom AFB in Great Falls. Together they have three boys; Marcus is in 8th grade, Michael in 6th grade and Mitchell in 4th grade. To make up the rest of her all male population they have two golden retrievers; Maverick and Mallard.
She spends most of her free time on a bleacher taking in football, basketball, baseball or whatever sport the boys are currently playing.
